We are three friends who have known each other for over 15 years. We have a passion for parties, planning, DIY, and budgets.

I am married with a one year old baby girl and a one year old puppy (because having a baby isn’t busy enough, let’s get a puppy). I have a passion for DIY and having a child, I now have even more excuses to DIY. My wedding was a lot of DIY (from wedding invites to centerpieces). I happen to be pregnant when the pandemic hit so I took the opportunity to hand knit my daughters mobile, blanket and make her room decor. I am always itching to plan a party. If someone is getting married, having a baby or throwing a party, my first question to them is “do you need help planning?” Planning events is my passion, although my day job besides mommying is in Risk management in the financial industry.

How did we come up with this business venture?

It all started with just one party! As we grew older, bridal showers, engagement parties, weddings, baby showers and kid parties became our new norm.  When the need to throw a party came upon us, we enjoyed every minute of it. Then another party and another.  At the end of each event, friends and family couldn’t stop complimenting how beautiful the party was for an affordable cost. It wasn’t until Shannon was getting married and needed to plan a backyard wedding. We saw the challenge in connecting the pieces to make the wedding a beautiful event for an affordable cost.  Planning this wedding, we realized how the planning of the party was easy for us because we LOVED planning but not everyone has the drive and time to do what we did.  Thats when the idea of My Boxed Event came into fruition.
